Dr. Marissa Rizzo is a Long Island native dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate dermatologic care. She received her medical degree as a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and completed her internship in Internal Medicine at NYU Langone Hospital, followed by her dermatology residency at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine in Roanoke, Virginia, where she served as Chief Resident.

In addition to her clinical training, Dr. Rizzo has a strong background in dermatologic research. She completed a dedicated research fellowship at George Washington University, where her work contributed to national dermatology guidelines and was published in leading journals including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology (JAAD), British Journal of Dermatology, Dermatitis, and Archives of Dermatological Research. She has also presented at numerous national conferences, including the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting.

Dr. Rizzo is passionate about caring for patients across all skin types and conditions—from acne and eczema to skin cancer detection and prevention. She is extensively trained in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, and offers personalized treatment plans that balance effectiveness with patient comfort. Whether performing skin cancer screenings, minor procedures, or cosmetic treatments, she brings a detail-oriented and thoughtful approach to every patient interaction. Dr. Rizzo takes pride in creating a welcoming space where people feel heard, informed, and genuinely cared for—her goal is always to help patients feel confident in their skin and in the care they receive.
