Biography

Dr. Renee Fruchter grew up in Long Island. She graduated summa cum laude from Barnard College, where she was also inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Society. She went on to complete her combined medical degree and masters in clinical research at New York University School of Medicine. During this time, she was the recipient of the Marion B. Sulzberger Award for excellence in Dermatology and won an award to present her research on cutaneous lupus at the Society for Investigative Dermatology.

She completed a one year internship in internal medicine at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s-West, followed by dermatology residency at Montefiore Medical Center, where she served as cosmetic chief. Dr. Fruchter has been involved in several research studies on rheumatologic dermatology for which she has presented at national dermatology conferences and published several peer-reviewed articles on.

Dr. Fruchter enjoys treating patients of all ages in all aspects of dermatology. She is fully committed to providing her patients with outstanding dermatologic care by staying up to date with the literature and incorporating the latest therapies into her treatment plans. Her clinical interests include complex medical dermatology, cutaneous side effects of cancer therapies, and skin cancer screening and management.
